Hello. I'm StevenHutton, I joined the Combat Arms division of NiN recently, and I was asked to download GSC and to register on this site, which I have done. I am still however, awaiting approval.

I noticed that for such a large organization, your website layout and graphics seem to be stuck in 2003. I would like to recommend a layout verbally that perhaps a few tech guys could like at.

Firstly, the CSS definitely needs more detail. As far as graphics go, the font is colorful, and that was great, but the font needs an artistic touch-- Gradients, bevel and emboss, etc.

I notice that the logo looks like a photo negative. More color would be a great idea, and to make the image a little more clear and less pixelated would be great. Same thing for the images containing the clan's GSC and Ventrilo servers.

If you want to use the words "Ninjas Elite" in front of your logo, you want the logo to face the user and for the logo to be symmetrical and not pixelated. If the clan's colors are black and white, then you want to make use of shades of gray, black, and white. I specialize in creating word art, so if possible, I would love to send the tech team a few samples.

Less black on the site would make it more appealing to the users. Again, gradients and modern fonts are recommended. I would recommend for the top menu, a dropdown menu for each main category. These dropdown menus would contain subcategories, making navigation around the site easier for the users.

If you decide to take on this project for a modern theme, then you would be wise to change the Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube icons to something flashy and embossed, such as a button on an Xbox 360 controller would be.

I have found that incorporating a simple RSS feed from www.ign.com to the site keeps users up to date on everything in the gaming world. Feel free to do with this what you would like, of course all of this is just suggestion.

In a website, you want to have all of the main elements in one area and make them easy to find. You should focus on very basic elements: Socializing, News, Forums, Registration, Usergroups, Events, FAQ's, Members, and a log in page. Here is a tree that I have fashioned explaining my thinking on the topic, and you may use it as a model if you would like. It's just a start:
